Tips to make the Mobile Secure |
| So here are 7 tips to make your mobile secure: 1)Use your phone's security lock code:Create a password for your cell phone so that you can lock it and nobody can open it except you. We all like our privacy, so set a pass code to your phone, and then lock the cell phone whenever necessary. In some occasions if you simply lock your cell phone and have not set a specific pass code, then you may use the default pass code to gain entry into your phone. The following tip will get your phone unlocked and back in working order. First, think of what your password could possibly be. Your password is only four numbers, so it can only be any variation of 1-9 for each digit. This means if you start at 0000 and go to 9999 you will encounter your password. Simply punch in 0000, 0001, 0002, 0003 and so on and so forth until you reach your password. You can start at 7000 and go to 8000 first if you think your password begins with 7 or any variation like this. You don't have to start at 0000, just keep track of where you start and the numbers you have tried so you won't repeat any numbers. Eventually, your phone will unlock and all the work will be worth it! 2)Disable Bluetooth,if not in use:Bluetooth capabilities make it possible to exchange data over short distances from fixed devices, such as computers and mobile devices like cellular phones. Although Bluetooth has its advantages, it can cause problems with wireless Internet connections and make browsing the Internet troublesome. Many people believe that their mobile phone cannot be hacked because Bluetooth is such a short-range communication method, but the fact is that hackers can easily connect and manipulate your mobile phone withing a range of 10-15 meters simply by using a Bluetooth connection. The hacking process is easy for hackers, because all they need is a special software on their mobile phones, laptops or netbooks in addition to some basic knowledge. So the only way to avoid Bluetooth attacks on your mobile phone is to disable Bluetooth when it is not in use. And when it is in use, make sure you do not leave in discoverable mode. 3)Install Anti-Virus Software:An anti-virus software program is a computer program that can be used to scan files to identify and eliminate computer viruses and other malicious software (malware). Many mobile devices now sport multiple features with one of the key features being Internet access. However, with the good features of Internet access available you are also at risk for the bad ones, such as viruses. Anti-virus companies, such as Kapersky, have now started offering Mobile Anti-Virus suites designed to protect you from the dangers of Internet viruses. 4)Record details of your Electric Serial Number (ESN) of your CDMA phone: CDMA stands for Code Division Multiple Access. It is a channel access method that is being used by number of radio communication technology, but when talking about the CDMA technology in Cell phones it is actually CDMA One and CDMA2000, which are commonly referred to as CDMA too. The ESN, or Electronic Serial Number, is a permanent identification number used to recognize mobile devices accessing particular telecommunications networks. The ESN is assigned and embedded into a wireless communications device by the device's manufacturer The embedded ESN is generally located under or below the battery of a mobile device, or on the back of the device itself. Once embedded, the ESN is not easily alterable, which is why it can be used to electronically check the mobile device against fraudulent use or ownership. |
